Claranet is pleased to announce the introduction of our virtual and dedicated server range. Whether you need file, hosting or database servers, we have the products to suit. The need for increased computing power is demanding that businesses invest in multiple servers. These servers are not cheap and once purchased, you are responsible for the storing and maintenance of these machines, for as long as they are in operation.

With our virtual and dedicated servers, you do not have to purchase any hardware outright and are not tied into any contracts. We look after all of the maintenance and updates to the machines and you are left to focus on what’s important...your business. All of our virtual servers look and act like a dedicated server but are, in fact, slices of a larger physical machine, boasting 8 Xeon cores, 24GB RAM and a RAID6 array of 15,000rpm SAS disks.
Each server comes with instant installation, full root access, no contracts, seamless upgrades, 100% uptime guarantee and are housed in our London based, enterprise grade datacentre.

Flexibility

Set up your server however you choose, with either a Windows or Linux OS. You are in control with full root and admin access.

Online Controls

Your Claranet control panel allows you unlimited self-service reboots and reimages, set and modify reverse DNS, set automated backups, you can even upgrade memory and diskspace on the fly (VS only)

Control Panels

If you need more help with the administration of your domains, then why not choose either Plesk or cPanel from as little as £5 per month, making the set up of websites/DNS and user accounts even easier.

FAQ

Virtualisation with Xen for Linux and Hyper-V for Windows, our Virtual Servers do not use shared memory. The memory allocated is yours for the life of your virtual server.
